Hi folks, Summer is here and the time to step up the fitness regime has rapidly followed! Good job I’ve got a fab personal trainer, and great support from the team at Lifestyle Fitness.
With the summer holiday looming, time to lay off the naughty foods for a bit me thinks and step up the work outs to ensure I’m looking bikini fit and being the best I can be. Andy McGlynn and the team a LSF-PT have launched their fantastically convenient ‘mobile’ service, so if getting to the gym is tricky or just not for you, you can opt to have a personal trainer come to YOU. Makes for an easier life all round and all the trainers are qualified to the LSF-PT industry leading high standards and bring all their own equipment. Check out www.lsfptmobile.com or email info@lsfptmobile.co.uk to chat to the team and book your first complimentary session.
I’ve been lucky to have had the odd snippet of sunshine already this year, and last week I popped over to Malta for a fantastic weekend hosting for MTV. The event comprised of a huge scale adventure challenge in and around one of the island’s historic forts. I’ve never been to Malta before and despite people telling me of it’s ‘older generation’ reputation, it is far from that with cute restaurants and funky bars serving all the very best food and drink. I stayed in the 5* Westin Dragonara in St Julian’s and even though I was working, a brilliant time was had by all, particularly at the wrap party which featured some rather suggestive fire eaters!!
My showbiz travels have taken me all over these last few months, from LA to St Lucia, to….Wembley. The live semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent took place in Wembley’s Fountain Studios and I got a special pass to pop along and support my pal Andrew Derbyshire. Whilst chilling post performance with my buddy, I managed to bump into the worlds worst impressionist, but loveliest guy ever, Jenson Zhu. I spent the rest of the show sat next to Simon Cowell’s housekeeper (oh the showbiz!) having a good gawp at Baby Eric’s mum, Lauren Silverman, who sat right next to Simon the whole show (just off camera) and for whom he couldn’t keep his eyes off!! Ahhhhh.
And I’ve been doing what I perhaps do best recently…talking a LOT! Not just for my work which has included my Nickelodeon entertainment show N-View, but I’ve also been counselling and campaigning for Childline, Mind charity and the Time to Change campaign. I was privileged to meet Jonny Benjamin at his film premiere of Find Mike, which follows his well publicised journey to find the man who saved his life – literally – and to chat to him about our massive cause….de-stigmatising mental health issues. I’m so grateful to the fantastic support I receive from everyone who takes the time to get in touch when I talk about my own past as an anxiety sufferer, and I’m so committed to getting everyone talking about, and understanding mental health with the aim of it being a less scary and taboo subject.
