Hola folks! Hope you’ve managed to emerge from the dankest, wettest, dreariest Spring EVER. For here we are, long evenings are back and the odd sunny day to boot.
I was particularly fortunate, and very chuffed, to be sent to the glorious island of Jamaica all in the name of work for ITV’s Daybreak and Lorraine. Re-crowning myself ‘that girl off the telly who gives away the holidays’, I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful (and hot!) trips I’ve ever been on. Talk about a lucky lady of which I’m truly grateful! Thanks to Yasmina and Sandals Resorts, it may have been a long shoot, but it was certainly one of the most enjoyable – and one I will never forget. I’ll be back to JA for my own holiday most definitely.
Back in Blighty I’ve been popping along to the odd ‘do’ all in the name of showzbiz gossip (well, mainly!) and reporting back to you gossip hungry lot with my weekly Digital Spy entertainment column. Don’t forget to check it out every Saturday on the blogs section at www.digitalspy.co.uk
I’ve been filming a few new shows too since the beginning of the year, a couple I’m yet to announce, and indeed I’m not allowed to talk about just yet.
However, I’ll give you a sneaky peek, and let you in on a new show I’ve been contributing to with Bafta winner Alex Brooker. For all of Alex’s wit and cheekiness, he’s one of the nicest blokes and has me in stitches with his fresh, un-censored take on everything. Keep your eyes peeled to Channel 4, and I’ll be sure to let you know exactly what it’s about as soon as I’m able.
And we may have only just sneaked into Summer, but in the land of panto the next Christmas’s show is being signed, sealed and delivered as soon as the curtain has come down on the last. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve signed up to play Eastenders’ Matt Lapinskas’s Cinderella at the Churchill Theatre in Kent this Christmas, so please do come and see us…..it seems a long way off, but with half the year already gone, it’ll be here before you know it…..OH NO IT WON’T!
